This Privacy Policy explains how Seeda ("Seeda", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when customers, Shops, Shop representatives, delivery personnel, and other users access or use the Seeda application, website, marketplace, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").
By using Seeda, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you use Seeda.
Customer Information
When you create an account, place an order, contact support, or otherwise use Seeda, we may collect information such as:
Name;
Mobile number;
Email address;
Account and profile information;
Delivery address;
Location information, where permission is provided;
Order and transaction history;
Shop interactions;
Ratings, reviews, and feedback;
Customer support communications; and
Other information you voluntarily provide.
Shop Information
When a business applies to join or operates through Seeda, we may collect:
Business or Shop name;
Trade licence and registration information;
Business address and location;
Owner or authorised representative information;
Contact information;
Optional identification and verification information where voluntarily provided;
Bank or settlement information where applicable;
Tax information where applicable;
Products, services, prices, and Shop information;
Order and transaction information; and
Other information reasonably required for the operation of the Platform.
Location and Delivery Information
With appropriate device permissions, Seeda may process location information to:
Identify Shops near a customer;
Determine whether a customer is within a Shop's delivery area;
Help customers select or confirm delivery locations;
Facilitate order fulfilment;
Provide relevant Shop recommendations; and
Support delivery and order-tracking functionality.
Users can manage location permissions through their device settings.
Device and Technical Information
When you use Seeda, certain technical information may be collected automatically, including:
IP address;
Device type;
Operating system;
Browser type;
App version;
Device identifiers;
Login activity;
Usage information;
Crash reports;
Diagnostic information; and
Security and fraud-prevention information.
2. Optional Identity Documents and Face Data
Seeda may allow users to optionally upload an ID document for verification and fraud-prevention purposes. Uploading an ID is not required to register or use Seeda's core features.
An ID document may contain a photo of the user's face. Seeda does not perform facial recognition, facial matching, biometric authentication, face scanning, or facial analysis, and does not create or store biometric face templates or facial geometry.
ID images are not used for advertising, tracking, profiling, analytics, or AI training.
Uploaded ID images are stored securely and are accessible only to authorised Seeda personnel for verification purposes. They are not sold or shared with advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or other third parties for their own purposes.
ID images are retained only as necessary for verification, for a maximum of 15 days from upload, and are then deleted. Users may request earlier deletion at any time by contacting Seeda support at cc@seeda.cc.
Uploading an ID is completely optional, and users may continue using Seeda without providing one.
3. How We Use Your Information
We may use personal information to:
Create and manage accounts;
Operate and maintain the Seeda Platform;
Connect customers with Shops;
Display nearby or relevant Shops;
Process and facilitate orders;
Facilitate payments;
Share order information with the relevant Shop;
Facilitate fulfilment and delivery;
Manage Shop registrations and subscriptions;
Review and verify Shops;
Provide customer and Shop support;
Send order, account, payment, and service notifications;
Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised activity;
Protect Platform security;
Resolve complaints and disputes;
Analyse and improve our services;
Develop new Platform features;
Meet legal, regulatory, accounting, and compliance obligations; and
Send marketing or promotional communications where permitted by applicable law.
4. Information Shared With Shops
When a customer places an order, Seeda may share information with the relevant Shop that is reasonably necessary to process and fulfil the order.
This may include:
Customer name;
Contact number;
Delivery address or location;
Products or services ordered;
Order instructions or notes;
Payment status; and
Relevant order and delivery information.
Shops are independent businesses and must use customer information lawfully and appropriately.
A Shop must not use customer information obtained through Seeda for unauthorised purposes.
5. Delivery Information
During Seeda's current operating phase, delivery is generally arranged and fulfilled by the relevant Shop, its authorised delivery personnel, or its chosen delivery provider unless expressly stated otherwise.
Accordingly, information reasonably necessary to complete a delivery may be made available to the relevant Shop or its authorised delivery personnel.
Seeda may provide technology that facilitates delivery management, location information, order status, or tracking.
If Delivery by Seeda or another Seeda logistics service is introduced, Seeda may process and share information with authorised logistics partners as reasonably necessary to provide that service.
6. Payments
Seeda may offer different payment methods through the Platform.
Online payments may be processed by authorised third-party payment service providers.
Where payments are processed through third-party payment providers, Seeda may receive transaction information such as:
Transaction amount;
Payment status;
Payment method;
Payment reference; and
Information necessary for reconciliation, refunds, fraud prevention, and customer support.
Complete payment card details may be processed directly by the applicable payment provider rather than stored by Seeda.
7. Service Providers
Seeda may work with trusted third parties that provide services necessary for operating the Platform, including:
Cloud and infrastructure providers;
Payment processors;
Communication providers;
Analytics providers;
Mapping and location services;
Security and fraud-prevention providers;
Customer-support services; and
Logistics providers where applicable.
Such providers may receive information only as reasonably necessary to provide their services and subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.
As described in Section 2, optional ID images and face data are not provided to advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or other third parties for their own purposes.
8. Legal Disclosures
We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to:
Comply with applicable UAE laws or regulations;
Respond to lawful requests from courts, authorities, or regulators;
Investigate suspected fraud or unlawful activity;
Protect the rights, safety, and security of customers, Shops, Seeda, or others;
Enforce our Terms & Conditions and agreements; or
Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
9. Marketing Communications
Where permitted by applicable law, Seeda may use contact information to send information about:
Seeda services;
New features;
Offers and promotions;
Shops and products available through Seeda; and
Other relevant Platform updates.
Where consent is required, marketing communications will be sent based on that consent.
Users may unsubscribe or withdraw applicable marketing consent using the provided unsubscribe method or by contacting Seeda.
Essential communications concerning orders, payments, security, accounts, or Platform operation may still be sent.
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website and applications may use cookies, SDKs, local storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies to:
Operate the Platform;
Maintain user sessions;
Remember preferences;
Understand Platform usage;
Improve performance;
Detect security threats; and
Improve the user experience.
Where legally required, appropriate consent mechanisms will be provided.
11. Data Retention
Seeda retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and as required or permitted by applicable law.
Information may be retained for purposes including:
Maintaining accounts;
Processing transactions;
Maintaining financial records;
Resolving complaints and disputes;
Preventing fraud;
Enforcing agreements; and
Meeting legal, tax, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
Different categories of information may have different retention periods.
Optional ID images are subject to the specific retention period described in Section 2 and are retained for no longer than 15 days from upload.
12. Data Security
Seeda implements reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against:
Unauthorised access;
Unlawful disclosure;
Loss;
Misuse;
Alteration; and
Destruction.
However, no electronic service or method of data transmission can guarantee absolute security.
13. Your Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable UAE law, users may have rights regarding their personal information, including rights to:
Request information regarding the processing of their data;
Access eligible personal information;
Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
Request deletion where legally applicable;
Restrict or object to certain processing where applicable;
Withdraw consent where processing depends on consent; and
Exercise other rights available under applicable data-protection law.
Seeda may request reasonable verification before processing a privacy request.
Users who voluntarily upload an ID document may request deletion of the document before the 15-day retention period expires by contacting cc@seeda.cc.
14. Account Deletion
Users may request deletion of their Seeda account through available Platform functionality or by contacting Seeda.
Certain information may continue to be retained where required for legal, regulatory, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or other legitimate purposes permitted by applicable law.
Optional ID images remain subject to the maximum 15-day retention and deletion practices described in Section 2.
15. Children's Privacy
Seeda is intended to be used by persons legally capable of using the Platform and entering into the relevant transactions.
Products or services subject to legal age restrictions must not be purchased, sold, or delivered contrary to applicable law.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Seeda may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our Platform, services, technology, operations, or applicable legal requirements.
Material changes will be communicated where required by applicable law.
The latest version will be available through the Seeda Platform.
